    Beautiful bag, with one fault

    I love this bag, I am carrying it for many many years, every day commute, train, bus, rain, snow... and it still looks like new. I even washed it in the washing machine. Love how it opens, it has enough space always, even if I need to stuck extra jacket in it, or extra food. Two bottle space on the side for both my coffee and water, Security closing functioning wonderfully. I really love everything about this bag. But...As I am getting older and my back and shoulders more sensitive, I am noticing that it is hanging on my shoulders, pulling down, feels heavy. I tried to put the whole usual content into another backpack with thicker straps ( another company) and I have to say with sadness, it felt like nothing on my back in another backpack. So unfortunately, even though I love it, I have to let it rest and switch. Please please...make the straps thicker and more padded, then it will be a perfect backpack! Btw, I bough the bag many many years ago, and I dont remember it being so expensive. With this price today, and other offers on market, I am not sure I would buy it again...maybe on sale.

    Beautiful but not practical

    The quality of this bag is beautiful. Two things that I had problems with. 1) To close the larger compartment on top I was very fiddly compared to other backpacks I have had. I could not just pull the zip across the top to close it. It opened out and to close it I had to hold both sides together then close the zip. This made it cumbersome while travelling with other luggage. 2) The back straps were thin and not closely attached to the backpack. Resulting in the bag hanging a little off my back rather than being firmly fitted against my back. I ended up injuring my wrist because of the difficulty I had closing this bag. I hope this will be improved.

    Two Requests

    I love this backpack. I love the two water bottle pockets, the straps, the small front pocket, the luggage loop to put on my suitcase handle, and the classy black with gold hardware.

    === I wish for two things ===

    A classic two-zipper opening on the main section because the clamshell zipper is *always* a struggle.

    And a second large compartment that’s just the laptop sleeve so I can have my stuff separate from my laptop/tablet/book.

    Except for the main zipper this would be a 5 star review. I’ve never NOT been able to get it to zip, but I often wonder if this is the day it just won’t.
