My wife and I both purchased a Pacsafe GO anti-theft tech crossbody bag for a recent trip to France. With a working phone almost a necessity for a successful trip these days, I just didn't trust carrying my phone in any of the pockets in my pants any longer, especially after losing my wallet to a pickpocket in Barcelona several years ago (out of a zipped pocket).
This bag is AWESOME! It is large enough to accommodate my phone, passport, a pair of reading glasses, and all the cards that I needed for the trip, yet small enough that I didn't feel like I was even wearing it most of the time. It is also SO convenient to pull items from if needed. Although I didn't think about it at the time of purchase, this was also handy on the plane as it was easy to get to any items I needed.
I am a guy, so was concerned about the look of wearing a crossbody bag. It is so small that it looks just fine. Honestly, so MANY people are walking around with bags that I didn't even think about how it looked.
The strap, although light, seems to be almost indestructible with wire running through it. Frankly, I don't know how an individual would ever have something stolen out of this bag unless they took it off and set it down. I had absolutely no concern about the safety of my items as we were walking on the street, in a plaza, or on the metro.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this bag for your peace of mind!!!
